If someone buys a used Kinect (sensor only) or loses/breaks/scratches their copy of Kinect Adventures, they'd need a replacement. It makes perfect sense that they'd offer a stand alone copy to accomodate those situations. Obviously it'll have terrible stand alone sales, but, that's not really the point.
